ABOUT ME

My Fitness Journey

I'm 54, so not your usual image of a personal trainer, I'd imagine. I have a background in both music and travel, having studied music at university and performed as an amateur oboist in many orchestras over the years, but professionally have always worked in the tourism industry as I love languages and travelling. 10 years ago, I got into running. My first event was a half marathon and since then, I've done many races including marathons up and down hills and mountains in the UK and abroad. Just to be clear, I've always run because I love it, because it makes me feel so amazing and because I cannot get over how my body can achieve things that I do. It's not because I am special, it's because I enjoy it, because I love feeling strong and I love feeling like I have pushed myself and achieved something.

3 years ago I decided I'd like to learn more about exercise and how the body works, so I undertook a personal training course and simply fell in love with it. I loved the fact that I had so much to learn. Even more that I could remember all this stuff! I became a Personal Trainer more to educate myself at that point and, if I am honest, to prove a point to myself - and if I am honest, to some others - that someone in their 50's can challenge their mind and body and achieve really meaningful and impactful results.

I've become so passionate about exercise since learning more and seeing my own achievements in my own body as well as my mind that I now want to share this with others. I want you to achieve the positive state of mind and healthy, strong body that you have been looking for, and to start the journey with you to achieve your goals. I want to help you bring exercise into your daily life so that it's a real enhancement to your life and not a burden.

I'd love to help you bring about the changes you are looking for. Please contact me for a friendly chat and free consultation, either by phone, online or in person.
